Codex will go into global effect on December 31, 2009.
While the stated goal of Codex is to establish unilateral regulations for dietary supplements in every country, the actual goal is to outlaw health products and information on vitamins and dietary supplements, except those under their direct control. These regulations would supersede United States domestic laws without the American people's voice or vote in the matter.

The Codex Alimentarius proposals already exist as law in Norway and Germany where the entire health food industry has literally been taken over by the drug companies. In these countries:

vitamin C above 200 mg is illegal
vitamin E above 45 IU is illegal
vitamin B1 over 2.4 mg is illegal

and so on. Shering-Plough, the Norway pharmaceutical giant, now controls an Echinacea tincture, which is being sold there as an over the counter drug at grossly inflated prices. The same is true of ginkgo and many other herbs, and only one government controlled pharmacy has the right to import supplements as medicines which they can sell to health food stores, convenience stores or pharmacies."

It is now a criminal offense in parts of Europe to sell herbs as foods. An agreement called EEC6565 equates selling herbs as foods to selling other illegal drugs. Action is being taken to accelerate other European countries into 'harmonization' as well.

Codex Alimentarius would make Vitamin C above 60-200mg per day illegal (the exact limits have not yet been set). If Codex is implemented in the U.S., Vitamin C of doses higher than a tiny amount would become as illegal as the hard drug heroin! And junk science (toxicology for nutrients) would be used to set the dosage.

It is clear that making Vitamin C above a certain dosage illegal (even with a doctor’s prescription) has nothing to do with people’s health and everything to do with preventing people from having access to products that compete with the drugs of the pharmaceutical industry.

Codex will control:

1. Vitamins, minerals and nutrients,
2. Genetically modified organisms,
3. Toxic residues,
4. Antibiotics, drugs, growth stimulants, and other hormones in food animals,
5. Organic foods, and
6. Irradiation of food (all organic food will be irradiated)

The plan is to suppress all beneficial, high-potency nutrients, and to allow only those and a few other vitamins and minerals that will be high-priced, low-dosage, and synthetically-made by drug companies.

What Codex will accomplish
These new standards and guidelines will:

1. Protect the multimillion euro (European equivalent of dollars) investments of the large drug companies as well as their government-blessed monopolies.
2. Lead people away from natural healing methods, resulting in more power for the government-medical-pharma cartel, more suffering and death for the populace, and the further degradation of life on Earth.

An immense German, French, U.S., and British drug cartel is behind this. Codex is also working with other groups supporting the following agendas:

1. The chemical industry's aim that all animals be treated with antibiotics and hormones.
2. The largest seed company in the world (Monsanto) is working toward 100% genetically-modified crops.
3. The nuclear industry's goal of irradiating all foods including plants and livestock.
4. All industries' goal: phasing out truly organic foods, or at least, making them extremely difficult to obtain.

Hopefully, the facts will alarm you enough that you will want to immediately contact Congress and tell them how you feel about all of this.
